Maria Kang (she/her)

Dr. Kang has been practicing in Victoria since 2008. Starting her training in Winnipeg, she began her pediatric residency at the University of Calgary at the Alberta Children's Hospital then completed her training in Vancouver at BC Children's Hospital. With sights set west, she had the privilege of taking over for Dr. Keith Spacey with Pediatric Consultants on Chatterton Way. Following this, she joined the collaborative group at Grow Health and now has her own practice located on Hillside. In addition to her community practice, Dr. Kang has held several positions within Island Health including Pediatric Medical Lead, Division Head, Medical Director for Pediatrics and now working with the great team at Medical Academic Affairs as Medical Director of Workforce Stabilization & Recruitment.

Outside of work, you will see Dr. Kang out and about with her family and scruffy dog, "Corkey". She enjoys running, walking, biking and e-scooting around town. Give her a wave!
