MCFD has indicated that pediatricians' reports are primarily used to identify any associated medical conditions related to autism spectrum disorder (e.g., genetic conditions, vision or hearing impairments, or other relevant medical diagnoses). Decisions regarding a child's functional abilities and adaptive functioning are not based on our reports.
